Can I run WirelessMail on my local computer?

Yes. Some people who don't receive their email in a corporate Lotus Notes environment can use Lotus Notes installed to a workstation to access an internet mail account on a scheduled basis. WirelessMail can run on this workstation and forward messages. The requirements are:
  • You have Lotus Notes 5.0 or later installed on your local computer.
  • Your PC is on and connected so that your local Lotus Notes can pull down your mail from an internet mail server.
  • 'Enable scheduled local agents' is checked in Lotus Notes User Preferences.
  • Replication schedule is enabled.
  • WirelessMail is enabled, with Local selected as the Mail server instead of your usual server.
Although it is possible to use WirelessMail in this manner, MartinScott does not offer support for running WirelessMail in this mode.
