The kHit Tool
About
This tool has been designed to support Domino Administrators/Developers in the ability to quickly implement a domino CGI statistic's logger/Hit counter without having to change any server settings or do any major programming. What it does is log CGI statistics via one simple agent and a little trick using a blank image on the web page in question where you want the logger to be placed. Often a counter/stat logger is needed but you do not want to display the count or statistics.

How it works is you place an HTML IMG tag on the HTML page which refers to a transparent image ie

<img src="http://www.company.domain/cgistat?OpenAgent">

The kHit tool ACl should be configured to allow Anonymous the Level of No Access which is best as long as the Read Public Document setting has been checked, This way other anonymous users cannot read your stats.

You can use views and Lotus Script to develop counters and categorised information that you can use for reporting purposes on who has visited your site and how many times they have visited. The tool in it's current design is to only show how to get the actual data (CGI Statistics). We might develop a public example in the near future which shows how to create HTML and XML windows to this data.
