In order to return a subset of items from a given list, so that only items with the requested letter i.e. B will be returned (B2, B4, B7)

List1 := "A1" : "B2" : "C3" : "B4" : "D5" : "E6" : "B7";

follow these procedures:

METHOD 1

This method will return only the elements beginning with "B":
List1 := "A1" : "B2" : "C3" : "B4" : "D5" : "E6" : "B7";
"B" + @Trim(@Right(List1 ; "B"));

METHOD 2

This method will return all elements that have a "B" in them:
List1 := "Ape" : "The Ball Game" : "Baskets" : "Catnip" : "Bob Smith" : "Elephant" : "Big Boat" : "B";
A := @Left(List1+ "@" ; "B") + @Right(List1+ "@" ; "B");
