Erice: Lookout from Mount Éricé

This tiny mountaintop sits only 2000 feet above sea level, yet it feels like you're 10 miles up as you can see for literally hundreds of miles in all directions. On a clear night, you can see the African lights of Tunisia. At the same time, it is so quiet that you can hear the sheep "baahh'ing" down in the valleys. This was just about the eeriest place I have ever been. It's at the northwestern tip of Sicilia.
