Working with Access Control Lists (ACLs)

Import an ACL (from XML file or Notes Document)
What can you do with ACL files you have exported? You import them into other databases! You would want to do this to restore an ACL, or as the second part of an ACL copy effort. You can also use import to merge two ACLs into a union of all entries.
  1. Open any target database
  2. Launch NoteMan.ACLTools icon
  3. Click the ACL Import tab
  4. Choose to import from an XML file on your file system, or from a Notes Document stored in the NoteMan database
  5. To overwrite the existing ACL with the one being imported, choose "Erase existing values..."
Alternatively, if you want to merge the imported and the existing ACLs, select one of the merge rules
  6. Click the Import button. You will be prompted to choose an ACL either from the file system or from the set of ACLs stored in NoteManager.nsf
