Working with Databases

Add a new blank document to a database

This allows you to bypass document creation security that may exist in a database. In other words, if you are not able to create a certain form type in a database, but you have author access to the database ACL with create document privilege, NoteMan will allow you to create a document with any field values including any value for the form field. This effectively gives you creation access to document types you may not be allowed to compose according to form-level compose restrictions.
  1. In the Note layer of NoteMan Editor, click on New Note button. A new note will be added to the current database if you have at least author access
  2. Add any desired items and associated data types and values to the note using the "Add Item..." button in the Modify Items layer
  3. Commit changes using the Update Item and Update Note buttons
